The objective of this section is to give background to the design methods and recommendations in EN 1999-1-1 Design of aluminium structures Part 1-1: General rules (Eurocode 9) in order to understand the specific behaviour of static loaded aluminium structures.
This section is composed of two main reference documents, an interactive quiz on Eurocode 9 and by numerous MathCAD design examples of members and simple structures.
