aluMATTER is a freely-accessible, award-winning website that provides innovative and interactive e-learning resources for aluminium science and technology.

Click on the buttons in the diagram below to access the various sections of the website.

Leonardo da Vinci logoaluMATTER has been partly financed by the Leonardo da Vinci programme of the European Commission.

Many of the modules are available in English, French, German and Dutch. Please use the menu at the top to choose your language.

aluMATTER is aimed at the following groups of people:

  • university/college students and their lecturers
  • aluminium producers (i.e. companies that extract/produce aluminium)
  • aluminium fabricators and designers (i.e. companies that make things out of aluminium)

To reflect the broad target audience, we provide a number of different entry points to suit your own particular interests. You can browse by products and applications, by processing or by the underlying materials science and engineering. There are also some case studies.
